New way to request articles and books!

We just implemented the new Tipasa service as a tool to request articles. books and book chapters. If you have used Illiad in the recent past, we can still get your history for you and you can still access your articles if they are not 30 days old or viewed less than 5 times. The Tipasa link is on our website. Here is the link to the Tipasa tutorial under Library Services: http://library.stfrancis.edu/videomain.html. Please let us know if you have any questions!

APA Style Reference format for YouTube videos and other electronic resources

Recently, a student’s question about the proper citation of a YouTube video in APA style sent me on a research quest. Along the way, I learned about two valuable resources for APA style which I’d like to share with you.

The first is the APA Style website, which can be found at https://www.apastyle.org/learn/quick-guide-on-references.

In fact, if you visit the home page of the APA Style website, and scroll down to the bottom of the page, you’ll come to this:

Quick Answers References

Another valuable resource is the APA Style blog, which can be found at http://blog.apastyle.org.

There is a search box in the upper right hand corner (see the illustration below), and many more answers can be found there. For instance, when I typed “YouTube citation” into the search box, my results included advice on how to cite comments on a YouTube video, how to name an interview subject in a YouTube video, and how to properly cite a TedTalk.
