USF Library will not be open Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day. It will resume regular hours Tuesday, June 1. Enjoy a happy and safe long weekend!
This summer the classic novel To Kill a Mockingbird will be celebrating its fiftieth anniversary. Publisher HarperCollins is setting up events nationwide that will continue until September 22, and include readings by celebrities such as Tom Brokaw in their hometowns. The biggest celebration is scheduled to be in Monroeville, Alabama, home to author Harper Lee. But if you can’t make it to Alabama for the fete, check out the event’s Facebook page for other ways to celebrate one of the most popular novels ever written, or borrow the book or the movie, starring Gregory Peck, and see what all the fuss is about.
Off campus and remote access to USF Library resources, including the databases, will be unavailable May 19th beginning at 1pm for scheduled maintenance. If you have questions please contact the reference desk at 815.740.5041 or via email.
